How to get out a value from

I am using mvc2 and for processing some data.
I have a javascript function which returns a value.
My problem is that I can’t get this value inside a server method.
Here is the javascript function :
function GetAjax() {

alert(‘some simple text to be returned’);
//return simple text;

My problem is that it’s not returning any value. I need to get the value in my c# code :
[HttpPost] public JsonResult MyAjax(string id)
var json = new JsonResult();
//this.GetAjax(); //does not give me my text
//this.Text = “here you can get your text”;
json.Text = this.Text;
return json;

When I run a console.log in my javascript function, it returns “a function”
I have tried to use Response.Write() (which just returns blank) but with no success.
My question is : How can I get my simple text or some of its content in my method from javascript?

you can use Json.Encode(my_object) method of,
json.Text = Json.Encode(this);
