Staring across Delhi, I watch the slow cyclings of shadow as it moves through the streets and public spaces. I see it in crowded B-trains, the Jumaria sand-dunes, the hushed temples, the shacks huddled in the west, the glassy temple towers and luxury apartment buildings. I see it in the deserted plazas, the foggy narrow lanes, the deserted beach-fronts. I see it in shanties, roadside stalls, and the bread-shops and burger joints. For a city so busy yet so still, I see shadows everywhere. Sometimes, I’ll even see them in the minds and souls of the people.

I’ve seen them everywhere, in everybody. I know how they meet. They do so in unfinished places: under apartment-lungs, under the overhang of a porch, behind the flimsy curtain of a quarter. They meet in courtyards, alleys, dark corners. They meet in the forgotten grounds and empty stores. They meet at the end of dark passageways, at the edge of lonely docks, in the rotunda of a church and in the courtroom of a courthouse. Wherever there are crows, they meet in the crows, and pass the hours with them in dead skies. Wherever there are shadows, they meet in shadows. And pass the hours with one another.

I know that somewhere in Delhi, someone else is waiting. And there is another somewhere in Delhi, and another somewhere in Delhi, and another somewhere in Delhi. And there are thousands, millions. And they look at me, their eyes looking out of the shadow of a doorway, across a street, through a window. And they stare at me. Staring across the city, I stare back at them. They are crows, and I am the shadow of a crow.

But I still look at them. And I still hope. I still wish. I still need.Q:

How to use DataTable with Gridview to bind data from Database?

I am trying to bind data from database to datatable and then bind to gridview.
My code is as below
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
dt.Columns.Add(“id”, typeof(int));
dt.Columns.Add(“Name”, typeof(string));
dt.Columns.Add(“City”, typeof(string));

string selectCommand = “select * from Persons”;
SqlDataReader dr = null;

using (SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(connection))
using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(selectCommand, conn))
dr = cmd.ExecuteReader();
while (dr.Read())
DataRow dRow = dt.NewRow();

int ID = Convert.ToInt32(dr[“id”]);
string Name = dr[“Name”].ToString();
string City = dr[“City”].ToString();
dRow[“id”] = ID;
dRow[“Name”] = Name;
dRow[“City”] = City;

return dt;

I am not getting any error but I am not getting any result in gridview.

You have to return the data from the datatable like this:
return dt;

And in the gridview:
GridView1.DataSource = dt;
