The Commission: OC is a grand strategy game of organized crime in New York City. Play as a mafia figure with access to the various crime-ring power politics of the city. Gather finances, wield influence in the local government, and face the cops in pursuit of power, prestige, and making the right decision every time.
The Commission is a by-your-numbers, cold-hard-numbers game. Each turn, you and your advisors will send out letters and parcels to conduct you business. These letters and parcels will be delivered and intercepted by the police of New York, as well as private threats to your crimes and rival gangs. Depending on what happened in the previous turn, your score or underworld notoriety will be updated. Your notoriety is the raw data your mind is using to make decisions. It is your intuition, the proverbial “sixth sense”, or lack thereof. With all the data and calculations in The Commission: OC, you are your success.

Japanomanic Magazine – Issue #1 Preview
This story takes place in a postmodern utopia. After the cities were destroyed by the nuclear attacks from without and within, the world is now more open. I would like to think this is a brave new world for our characters.
What any of this has to do with anime/manga (I’m afraid to say much, as I don’t really watch or read much of that genre) is essentially the little bit about Taura and Lidia I felt I needed to show you…
The silent streets of the near dead city were cold and flat. Little ripples of debris and hot spring water now covered the former pavement. Everything was empty. All but for the robot crime-fighters.
Three of them, side by side, moving silently and efficiently through the unforgiving terrain.
What would fight in this wasteland? High technology and brute strength? Perhaps the police, or private security to kill the criminals? … no, the last thing they want is someone else trying to be the hero.
Taura and Lidia pressed on forwards, hoping to soon be rescued, even if the concept was without hope. A sound on the opposite side was in the distance. Taura checked the power levels of their weapons and set their shields to maximum protection. Both of them were in heavily armored suits with only hands and feet exposed to attack. She rolled her d20 against her protection setting which came in at a 16. They continued.
At some point they come across a large crater set in the terrain. It was 10 feet in diameter and completely flat. Curiously, the area around it was 50 feet tall. A nearby robot, its chest out heaving with a large mask of oxygen bags, roars and says “What the hell is this?” The robot proceeds to comment on Taura and Lidia’s attire and states the shape of the gas bag between them would be best suited for a love scene. The robot sneers at them and says “We don’t wanna fall for that rubbish, do we?”
“Never”, say the two robots, laugh together.
