What a great product. I found it on the web site of a friend of mine: is a great application for elimination and it is called: “HideDesktop Windows Taskbar”. I am a fan of this product.

This program is exactly what I needed. The only problem is the fact that it isn’t compatible with my Windows 7-based system. Once I install the program, there’s nothing left from the original Windows XP taskbar. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Hi, after reading the description, I’m not sure if it’s compatible with Windows 7.
Is it possible to use it to customize the taskbar? I’ve seen a lot of videos showing people customizing the taskbar to remove it or to automatically hide/autohide it based on an event.

After years of development, the team behind Taskbar Eliminator has finished creating an application that really keeps users from going crazy when looking for the Windows taskbar. Their latest product is called Taskbar Eliminator. This utility only needs a few seconds to remove the taskbar, even if you run it on your primary user account or Windows 7. The program is available in an executable file.
In order to use the program, you should extract it from the archive using WinRAR or using a similar utility (it’s better to use an archive extractor that can open.exe files). After installation is complete, the program will launch automatically and you can use it with ease.
At first, the program only removes the taskbar from the bottom of the screen, but after it detects that the main taskbar is also located on the bottom of the screen, it removes it as well. However, if the taskbar hides itself in a sidebar, the program will not be able to accomplish this and will report the error about not finding it.
As the program uses no resources or is not a burden for your PC, it can easily be left running in the background. To bring up the taskbar again, you can press Ctrl+Alt+T. You can save the program to a USB flash drive or another storage medium and carry it with you. This way, you can view the taskbar on any PC without any problems.
