Your wife tells you about what happened later, but you find out after going to the mysterious man that he really had the message, and your wife had been telling the truth.
You have to send your wife away, and go to the Lands Between. You quickly discover that you have some kind of powers, and can easily survive challenges that would kill other people.
The Lands Between is not a single territory. Rather, it’s a living, breathing world full of characters and dungeons to explore. You go on adventures through the various regions, and sometimes a challenge waits for you, requiring a level to challenge, which you eventually get through by defeating monsters.
After you clear a challenge, you get to discover a new dungeon that’s full of challenging monsters, and you get to explore the world. You can explore the world, buy gear, and make money to buy better gear, as well as cast spells and abilities.
You level up a lot during the game, just through playing it, and the skills you level up in the game are really satisfying to see. It’s almost like watching an RPG grow up.
